Spooky....

I've heard quite a few people talking about it.  Most of them seem to like it.  I wasn't familiar, and thought I probably should be.

American Horror Story.

Are YOU familiar?

I found the first 3 episodes through On Demand for free, on FX's On Demand channel.  I watched them.  One after the other after the other.  I think I like it :)

Not to insinuate that the show makes any sense.  Because it doesn't.  I mean, parts of it do.  But I'm to the point now that I can't really figure out what is real, and what isn't.  And then I found myself really happy that girl was killed by that man.  With the shovel.  I don't feel good about that.  Me being glad someone is dead.

But I am glad.

Do I need to worry?

I looked high and low for a good description of the show.  No luck.  Here is the best that I could find.  Yes, I'm serious...

"A family of three move from Boston to Los Angeles as a means of reconciling their past anguish. They move to a restored mansion, unaware that the home is haunted. " -IMDb

I'm going to leave it at that, because I'm afraid that if I try to expand I'll end up giving something away.  Seriously.  I just have no idea how to paraphrase any of it.  I tried to tell mrs.mfc about it, and failed miserably :(  Because I want her to watch it, but I want her to discover things (just as I did) along the way.  Because no one paraphrased it for me.  Which I found irritating.  But now I understand.  They really....couldn't?

Here's another little blurb I found.  It will either entice you, or irritate you.  Because you are probably going to want to run right home and watch this show to figure out what in the heck I'm talking about.  And that's okay.  Go for it :)

"American Horror Story is truly bizarre. In fact, it’s strange enough that you can barely go to a bar without overhearing people talk about their theories as to what’s going on with the characters and plots. And there’s a lot of characters and a really vague plot.

However thin the plot appears to be, the show’s creators, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, have managed to weave together perfectly balanced elements of shock, horror and storytelling to accomplish what many thought would fall flat. And in a way, the doubts people had about the show actually ignited the fury behind trying to figure out what Murphy and Falchuk are planning. "

See what I mean?

I think you have convinced me to watch this. I'm sure I'll have follow up questions once I start watching :)

I love, love, LOVE American Horror Story. I was super sad when I thought FX was going to be taken off DirecTV, but as of yesterday they reached an agreement, so I get to keep watching. YAY!

This show is legitimately crazy...but so good! There are so many WTF moments and it's hard to tell what is real & what is not. PS - I was so happy when that crazy girl was hit with a shovel. But she's not dead?? Or is she????!! It's nuts!

I haven't watched this show yet, but my coworkers do and say it is amazing. They were all pumped today because it got renewed for more episodes apparently.
