(okay, so this isn't EXACTLY what my pool looks like...but close enough :)
After a full day at the pool I headed home to get ready for my big weekend!
Every year a group of us head to the King Family Vineyards for the Pink Ribbon Polo Cup.
Each year a few people in the group change, but mostly it's a core group and then some....
This year Babbo Natale and I are both single, so we were each other's dates! Another difference this year is that we did our wine trek on day one of the trip, rather than on our way back on Sunday. This is because polo was held on Sunday this year. Me no likie :( I think I'll write a little note to the King Family to let them know I would greatly appreciate it if they would switch things back as they were.
When we finally arrived in Charlottesville, VA on Saturday evening we decided to enjoy a nice dinner on The Mall. While waiting for the rest of the group, I found this statue and felt compelled to join in:
There are few sports, if any, that are as beautiful as polo. It isn't just the dresses, and the table decor, and the location...it's the match itself. I tried my best to capture the grace of the horses, and the skill of the players, in pictures...but that is impossible. At least, it's impossible for me. So, here is the best I could do:
(me stomping divots)
As my Facebook status currently boasts: "Absolutely charming weekend :) BUT...it's always good to be home snuggled up with the pups of course!"
Louis had a very busy weekend while I was away, but I will save those pictures for Westie Wednesday. Well...okay...just a sneak peek...
Another amazing week lies ahead :) More on that tomorrow!

Your white box face is so beautiful that you won't be single for long, and I loved the dress you were to the match.
Good place to pick up men right?
What an awesome weekend...I agree...Come back weekend!!
Stopming divits is so Pretty Woman. I think a 4 day weekend is wonderful, but honestly I don't think anyone should have to work in the summer!
Oh la la! I just love polo. Cheers! Xoxo-BLC
Love polo! So much fun!! And those dresses are divine. :)
What a fun weekend. If only all weekends were 4 day weekends, life would be grand. xoxo
