All Fired Up

So I got everything packed for San Francisco.  I'm finishing some things here in the office, and then I'm heading home to get ready for Barbie's birthday celebration tonight!!  I thought I was going to miss it, but fortunately I will be able to make an appearance.  Yay!  I purchased the cutest things for her birthday prize, but I can't tell you yet because she's a follower :)

I will most definitely be out of "blogging commission" for the next few days.  I was serious when I said we work 16 hours days.  No time to do much of anything unfortunately.  I surely am going to miss reading everyone's blogs....but know it will definitely give me some entertainment on my FIVE DAYS OFF IN A ROW!!!!  Sorry, sorry, that's obnoxious.  I know.  I'm just really looking forward to it!

I was cleaning up my "favorites" on my computer and came across two things that I wanted to share.  One is a Pat Benatar video.  WHAT??!?!  I hear you.  But All Fired Up was kindove my "dating mantra" if you will.  On the way to meet each first date from MDC I would play this song.  I would sing out loud, especially the chorus :

Now I believe there comes a time
When everything just falls in line
We live an learn from our mistakes
The deepest cuts are healed by faith

It gave me the strength I needed to actually walk through the door to meet the MDC date, and it gave me hope that perhaps, finally, everything had fallen in line.  I never really had a good MDC date.  Perhaps I should have changed songs?  Anyway, I still think it's empowering, and I still sing out loud when it comes on the radio.  If you need a dating mantra, feel free to borrow mine:

The second thing I found was a link to something called "help, I'm bored".  I found this link on someone's blog a while ago, but I can't remember whose it was.  Sorry!  Anyway, it's completely silly and entertaining and I just wanted to share.

Have a wonderful weekend, and a wonderful week next week!

Until I return,

T
