Welcome Home!....Why Thank You Ever So Much!

Ahhhh...it's so nice to be home!  San Francisco is a lovely city, I'm sure, but I did not get to enjoy much of it unfortunately.  I worked non-stop, and my friends and I only had the chance to live it up on Wednesday night.  BUT...we sure did make up for lost time :)  We went to:

                                                                         Slide

Where, of course, I rode the slide into the bar!!

They were all pretty amazing!

Thursday night I went to a party for TEN's office.  There were a few people there that I knew already, but mostly bunches of new people!  It was a bit overwhelming, and I think I now know what it must feel like for him to keep going to all of these weddings with me.  Constantly meeting new people can be a little bit scary, but still lots of fun too :)

Friday night was girl's night, but we invited TEN to join us later in the evening since he and I hadn't really had an QT since my return :-o  We played the board game Imaginiff.....

Have you heard of it?  If not, you really should consider purchasing it for your next game night.  It's hysterical.  Really.  However, I wouldn't suggest inviting people that may get their feathers in a ruffle easily.  Here's how it works.  The board has everyone's name on it.  As the marker lands on you, someone reads a card.  The card says something like this:

Imaginiff _____________ were a flying object. Which would he/she be?

1) Blimp
2) Biplane
3) Glider
4) Frisbee
5) Lear jet
6) Brick

Seems pretty innocent, right?  Well, believe me...all of the questions aren't like this.  AND..somehow people do tend to pout and stomp their feet once they determine what their friends REALLY think about them.  But hey!  It's all in good fun!

Saturday was the VA Tech game, of course, and I was up bright and early to cheer my Hokies on.  As it turned out, they really didn't need my help....they rocked!

I did actually get some things done over my 5-days off, and I'm back at work today feeling like I'm about to drown.  It's amazing the number of e-mails one can amass when they are out of town for a few days.  Yikes!  AND...with MK's wedding this weekend, she's taken off the whole week.  I surely can't blame her, but gosh...it's awfully quiet in the office today :(

Oh well, tonight is Wine Group, and there will be plenty of socializing for me there.

Hope your week is off to a wonderful start!

Ta ta,

T
