That sounds weird doesn't it? To be pleased to have not met anyone:)
But, it seems like every time I do meet someone as of late it ends up all wrong. Either I like them, and they like me, but then..... well, you know the story. OR...they like me, but are old enough to be my grandfather. OR...they like me, but are far too young.
So I took the night off from letting myself meet anyone, and guess what? I had the most fabulous time:
(see, i told you my dress was bubble gum pink! or, maybe pepto pink? either way, it was "perky" to say the least!)
(i ran the pool table and we thought a picture in front of the pool cues was appropriate)
(we ended the night at a local martini bar. thank goodness daisy was able to drive my car home because those "very berry" martinis get me every time!)
And now that I think about it, I'm not sure I paid my bill at said martini bar? Oops! I'll have to stop by to remedy that if I haven't.
Yesterday afternoon something happened that put a BIG SMILE on my face :)
Perhaps all is not lost with new friend from the weekend? I will have to keep you posted.... (i know, i know that's so lame, but i am not counting any chickens just yet...)
Plans tonight, party tomorrow, AND THEN.....
...for the final rounds. Can I please tell you how freaking excited I am to see Trevor Immelman?!?!??!
Could he be any cuter?? I adore him. Absolutely, positively adore him. For so many reasons (we have SO MUCH in common). BUT...alas, he is married to a lovely lady and I accept that. I do. Really. I'm sure she completely understands my fascination with her husband, and she won't mind one bit if I wink at him a time or two. Right?
We are leaving from a local Country Club and riding up on a bus. A cool bus. The kind with a bar on it. That's right friends...mimosas and sausage biscuits on the way up. So I will be completely relaxed upon arrival, and ready to wink myself silly at Mr. Immelman. Sigh.
I already have my outfit pressed and ready:
(bobby jones golf skirt)
(sleeveless polo)
(nike visor)
(old faithfuls = silver bonannos)
I really wanted to bring Louis. He hails from Scotland where the world's most famous golf course is located.
(bridge at st. andrews old course)
(st. andrews old course)
(see! wouldn't he be a wonderful addition to the greenbrier's festivities??)
(i bought him this cap, but they said NO DOGS ALLOWED!)
Oh well, maybe next time.
Here's to a wonderful weekend, and a little inspiration too!
"Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do is to raise your standards. When people ask me what really changed my life, I tell them that absolutely the most important thing was changing what I demanded of myself. I wrote down all the things I would no longer accept in my life, all the things I would no longer tolerate, and all the things that I aspired to become." -Anthony Robbins
