So, I have gone into "settings" and marked NO for all of the questions about finding my blog through Google. I have tried everything possible, other than going private. Here's the thing...when you google "Desperately Seeking Seersucker" you not only find my blog, but you can also find EVERY SINGLE COMMENT I HAVE EVER MADE ON EVERY SINGLE BLOG I'VE EVER COMMENTED ON. WTF?
This doesn't happen when I google MK's blog. So..what have I done wrong? I've tried to contact Blogger and Google, but I may as well mail a letter to Santa Claus for all the good that's done. I need to figure it out, or I'm going to have to go private. I just can't stand having THAT much of my business on Google :(
HELP!

Bah, that sucks! I don't know what you can do..sorry to be no help whatsoever. That's not good though.
OMG. That stinks. I just checked my settings and I have it marked as NO and it doesn't show up when I go Google my blog.
I know this is a stupid question but, did you hit save settings at the bottom after you clicked NO?
Oh no! I don't know how to fix that, but for comments I think if you change your "name" it might help. Like, leave the blog name as "DSS,"
but then change your posting name to "T" or something less unique. Then your post will show up from T and not from DSS. Or, hell, change your name to DSS. Hah!
So, sign in to blogger and click on your user photo from your blog homepage. Then click on "EDIT PROFILE" in the left nav. You can change your display name about halfway down. I don't know if it'll be retroactive... but it's worth a shot.
And then you just have to wait a few days/weeks for google's cache to clear. :(
Hope that helps!
Thanks for trying to help me here firneds! I did go back and select "NO" and hit "SAVE" for sure. It still didn't work. BUT..sometimes it takes a bit to switch over maybe?
Anyway...Wendy...thanks for the suggestion of changing my "name". I did change it to DSS, and so moving forward all will be well! However, the old comments, etc. still show. Perhaps over time they will roll off?
Oops! I see the cache comment from Wendy. Fingers crossed it works...
