Seersucker Movie Review - The Client List

The Client List.  Did any of you watch it?  Once I figured out what was going on, or about to go on, I curled my toes and squinched my nose.  Me no likie :(  But the concept of the movie really got me thinking.  I've never been in that situation, and I pray that I never am.  BUT...if I were...and I had children, and a home, and there seemed to be no way out.  What would I do?  The main character, Sam, seems like a grounded Christian woman who would never cross a line such as this.  But....

I'm pretty sure I don't need to give you any insight into what this movie is about.  A) the title pretty much gives it away and B) it's on Lifetime.  I will say that if you don't have anything else going on it's not a bad movie.  Quite predictable, but I really did care about these characters.  At first my heart ached for Sam, and her feelings of helplessness.  Then I began to become irritated with her, and her love of the money she was making.  In the end, I again felt sorry for her.  Perhaps I shouldn't have?  But I did.

So I award The Client List:

ONE SEERSUCKER SUIT!  This movie may have been able to score two seersucker suits, had it not been on Lifetime.  Although I am always sucked into their movies, there is a certain predictability that always follows.  I realize this was "based" on a true story, but perhaps they could have jazzed up the story line a bit and left us all feeling shocked or surprised?

I only got to watch the first hour before my husband changed it to the Red Sox game, so I'll have to catch it on reruns. I felt the same as you though about Sam's character!

BINGO! I'll go DVR right now. I'm not sure I've ever watched an entire Lifetime movie, but every time I've caught part of one, I'm always sucked in. Don't tell anyone! I love Jennifer Love Hewitt even though she's resorted to films like this. She's so cute!
