Things I Want To Understand

Why is Suge Knight always in trouble?  He's too old to be acting like that.  Sheesh.  The man needs a hobby...other than fighting people and threatening to "take them out".

Why did I think Arizona was above California?  Those who know me are aware that I'm rather geographically challenged.  Always have been.  But I hadn't realized it was this bad :(  Arizona is only 2,000 miles away from Virginia, not 3,000 miles like I thought.  I'm just sayin...

Is it possible for someone to be addicted to the first 6 months of relationships?  To constantly want a new one so it will feel super exciting all of the time?  Do people who boast that they are married to their "best friend" and every day is peaches and cream and love and roses really mean it?  Do they constantly feel like they are still in the first 6 months of their relationship?  I need to know this.  I need to understand if I really  haven't found what I'm supposed to be looking for...or if everyone is just misleading me.

Is everything in New Jersey located in a strip mall?  I've not been to New Jersey, so I'm honestly asking.  All I know is that these women on TRHONJ are supposed to be rich.  Uber rich.  And yet, every place they go for dinner, manis/pedis, frocks, etc. is located in a strip mall.  And then there is Jersey Couture!  They have people driving from different states to try on dresses at their (supposedly) upscale dress shop Diane & Co., which is also located in a strip mall.  Don't judge me, but ewwwww....me no likie :(

As you are reading this I am trekking up the coast with some of my girls.  We are going to do a little shopping, a little eating, a little dancing and perhaps a little boy watching :-o

Yes, that is a great question about the NJ strip malls. I really hope someone has an answer!

Have a fabulous time with your girls! Happy Thursday! xoxo

The strip mall thing totally makes sense! I was wondering that too when I saw their "salon"!!

oh my gosh girl, this was a hilarious post!! although the cali/az thing is a little embarassing ;) i've wondered that about jersey as well - it didn't occur to me that all of jersey was strip malls (i have no idea) but it definitely seemed weird that that jerseylicious and their 'amazing' salon are in a strip mall too! i love my RHONJ girls though :)

Here's a story to make you feel better about your AZ/CA confusion.. which you can appreciate being a Virginian as well. I live 40 minutes south of DC and one time my mom took my little brother to Williamsburg and then they had to drive back to Richmond to find a place to stay. Which I respond to "You drove all the way up past our house to find a hotel?" Richmond is definitely not north of me.

Haha you are too funny, T! I didn't know where Arkansas was on a map until I moved here from North Carolina! How pathetic! And as far as the 6 months into the relationship thing....I completely understand where you are coming from. The first six months are always so exciting because you still have lots to discover about eachother, and then every month after that starts to feel like "the seven year itch." I have been dating my boyfriend for over three years and we still have lots we don't know about eachother, even though we live together and have for over two years. If you are with someone you really care about and six months comes and goes and you're not "bored" and dont' want to date anyone else, I'd say stick with it. Don't give your relationships expectations. Just take it day to day and find out something new when you can. Look back and remember how you had butterflies on the first date and how clumsy you were when you didn't know for sure if he was going to kiss you, but you really wanted him to, and you turned away too fast and banged your head on your car door (oh wait- that was me!).

What I'm trying to say, is give it a shot, past six months if you believe in your relationship. Soon, they will become your best friend and you won't want to spend your time with anyone else. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of low times and fights and dislikes, but focus on the good memories and the way you felt when you first met them, and that's what will make you love them even more!

Sorry my comment was so long-winded... :)

I've never been to Jersey so I can't answer that one.
I've also never been married to my best friend. I may have thought I was the first time around but then he dumped me...lol The second one I don't think he's my best friend either

I have lived in NJ! And not not everything is in a strip mall...there are really rich but classless towns right of highways in NJ and there are strip malls everywhere.
BUT, there are some BEAUTIFUL areas, quaint main streets and beautiful farm land in NJ. I swear.
I used to think the same way about NJ...trust me. It is not that bad.
And Jenny DB I dated some amazing guys from NJ!!!! No lie.

I actually think I may have to do a tour of NJ and take pictures for all of the bloggers since they are all seem to think NJ is a sh%thole :)

haha, this is a great post. I too am curious about Jersey. And I think it's possible to be addicted to the first 6 months of relationships. I think I was that way for a while until I met the hubby.

oh ladies...new jersey is def not all strip malls. there are certainly a lot though. I love men from new jersey or new york. They aren't all assholes, although we certainly have them as well. I can see how southern women wouldn't be able to appreciate them, the same way I can't stand men from the south.

Jersey does have a lot of strip malls and outdoor malls. There are also a lot of what I call "pop up plazas" with clusters of stores that appear on the side of county roads, in a short period of time. It all depends on what part of Jersey you're in.
