Wine, Cider & White Parties :)

Last night MK, SHM & I went to a wine tasting of sorts in downtown Smalltown, VA.  It was the first time they have held such an event, and the cost was $1.  Yes, you read that correctly....$1.  I dare say that probably didn't cover the cost of the plastic cup they gave each of us, but whatever.

Our downtown area was blocked off, wineries were set up for tastings and there was a band.  The wine wasn't that good, but we bought a bottle anyway.  I was under the impression that they were going to have some hard cider there, and was quite disappointed when they didn't.  So...we headed to a local watering hole for some Original Sin Hard Cider. 

I'm glad we went to the wine tasting though.  Smalltown, VA is always trying to introduce new festivals and opportunities to get together and socialize.  To support our local vendors, and to highlight the fabulous things we have to offer here, I always make an effort to support these initiatives.  Even if they trick me into thinking there will be hard cider, and then there isn't :(

I had set a 7pm curfew for myself, and I'm very happy to report that I kept that curfew.  Well, almost :)  I've been going and doing way too much lately, and I'm going to try to slow it down a bit.  I've got a HUGE weekend ahead, and I need to be rested!

Today I am picking up a dear friend at the train station.  I haven't seen her in over a year!!  She's coming in for the White Party :)  We are going to head out and about for the last "Fridays at Five" thingy they have in Smalltown, VA, but it's supposed to be 95 degrees today.  I'm guessing we don't make it past "the bar"...but we'll see!

Tomorrow The Real Housewife of Delaware and Mr. Delaware will be arriving!!  They are coming in for the White Party as well.  This weekend is going to be magical, and if all goes well....I will find a suitable match for Stage 5 clinger too.
