I totally robbed this quote from someone else's blog.  I don't remember whose it was.  Sorry :(

I am famous for saying "well, it doesn't take much to get me excited does it?" or some variation of that.  And it's true.  It's the little things.  Now that Spring has sprung I'm remembering that.  The dogwood in my front yard is blooming.  Last night when I got home I sat in my driveway just appreciating it.  It's beautiful.  Then, I watched Louis run around in the back yard like a wild man, and I giggled.  I am completely willing to get happy about nothing.  As long as it's a good nothing :)

Last night TEN and I debated cooking a frozen pizza and having a salad.  B-O-R-I-N-G!  I have been terrible with my cooking initiative and therefore I threw a tantrum when frozen pizza entered the conversation.  I've mentioned before that TEN is an excellent cook/chef/whatever.  He doesn't even know what a cookbook is.  He just closes his eyes and imagines spices and flavors and then makes something.  I will never have that talent. 

He proclaimed that we would have pork loin marinated in some such secret concoction that he mixed up and then covered in apple sauce, wild rice with spices and corn.  I volunteered to make the corn :)

Let me just say that I am guilty of forgetting that pork is "the other white meat".  I don't know that I've ever purchased pork before.  It was very tasty.  And that got me happy :)

Another thing that has gotten me happy is the fact that I'm having a haircut on Saturday.  I haven't had my hair cut for almost one calendar year.  Yep.  It's time.

Another thing that has gotten me happy is the fact that Louis is also having a haircut on Saturday.  And a bath :-o

(disclaimer!  this is NOT Louis.  this is, however, what i hope he will look like after his haircut on saturday)

I'm attending a cocktail party tonight that is a fundraiser for the Science Museum.  The high today is supposed to be 77 degrees (another thing I'm happy about) and I'm looking forward to wearing a cocktail dress and no coat...again!
