Real Quick!

Hello!

I've taken a bit of a summer holiday.  I worked every day, I went to Kroger, I worked in the yard, I went to my meetings and such.  I just didn't blog.  I thought about it every day.  I wrote blog posts in my head while driving.  But....I just didn't take the time to post them. 

I kindove felt like a rebel.  I'm not going to lie.  :)

But now I miss it, and so I'm going to fill you in on everything that has happened in the last week real quick.  Wow, was that it?  Only one week?  It seems like ages.  Okay...here goes:


I went to the dentist.  No cavities.  Yay!

TEN was supposed to go to Richmond, and I was going to get yard work done (weeding, edging, cutting back the shrubs, etc).  TEN didn't so much go to Richmond, so I put him to work.  My yard looks lovely.

Every year I have a White Party over Labor Day Weekend.  This year JLB and The Juggler are getting married, so I moved the White Party to the weekend before.  Lots to do to get ready.  That kept me busy as a bee!

"BFF from growing up" and her hubby came in for the White Party.  They arrived on Friday.  The four of us enjoyed some wine, and I picked up lots of tasty treats from Fresh Market that we snacked on while catching up.  "BFF from growing up" and hubby hadn't met TEN yet, so I was a little nervous.  Not that there is anything wrong with him, of course, but they are truly my family.  It was almost like taking him home to meet the parents.  I'm really glad they approved :)

Saturday we took them to a local vineyard and winery for a picnic lunch and wine tasting.  We watched the rain roll past over the mountains, and it was spectacular! 

Back home, change of clothes, and on to the White Party.

It was a huge success!!!  Everyone was dressed in their "whitest" attire, and we played flip cup and beer pong until 3AM.  It was all I could do to get up the next morning to head out for breakfast at 10AM.  (note to self....I am no longer 21.  I can no longer play beer pong until 3AM and then wake up and play hostess.)

"BFF from growing up" and hubby hit the road after breakfast, and TEN and I headed back to the house to crash on the couch. Unfortunately I had a retreat for a board that I'm on at 4pm, so I didn't get to completely recoup until I hit the bed that night. I'm actually still kindove dragging if the truth be told!

However, I'm going to perk up because I'm REALLY looking forward to tonight!!!
