After I left the dress shop I headed home to cook pasta primavera for my girlfriends Daisy and Babbo Natale.
The three of us used to get together weekly to gossip about our dating dramas, but haven't done it in AGES! Anyway...last night we ate, drank and were merry for sure!
After Daisy left, Babbo Natale and I were chatting about Match.com and I mentioned the fact that even though I had canceled my membership, I still got e-mails saying people were winking at me and e-mailing me and such. All along I just kept deleting the e-mails, assuming that it was a play by Match.com to get me to sign back up.
WRONG!
Apparently my picture and full profile were still listed on Match.com. I almost fainted when I discovered this. Can you imagine?!?!? Here I am prancing all around town with TEN, and the entire time I'm still on Match.com. Gaaahh! Babbo Natale had a stint on Match.com herself, and she informed me that I actually had to hide my profile in order for it not to come up in people's searches. Seriously? Because in my world when one cancels their subscription to something it pretty much means they are no longer interested in participating. Sneaky, sneaky Match.com. Shame on you!!!
So, I have now not only canceled my Match.com subscription, but also hidden my profile. Good riddance! Now don't get me wrong. Match.com has really worked for some people that I know, and I fully support experimenting with it. Just BEWARE! It's not really over until the fat lady sings....or....you hide your profile.
Finally done with Match.com,
T
