Pat The Brakes!

First, let me thank all of you who signed the petition to make Alzheimer's research a national priority.  I cannot tell you how thankful I am that you took the time out of your busy lives to do that for me.  And for you!  It amazes me how many people have also been affected by Alzheimer's disease.  We talk about cancer.  And we know that it is a major killer.  And we all know someone who has had their life completely changed because of it.  But Alzheimer's?  No one really talks about it.  Until someone does.  And then we all seem to have a story.  And that makes it just as important as cancer, or any other terrible disease out there.  So thank you.  From the bottom of my heart!

I just commented on someone's blog, and this is what I wrote:

"I just keep packing my suitcase, and switching purses, but I have no idea where I am supposed to be. I just know that I'm late :( "

I don't think I realized that this is how I felt until my fingers typed it into the "comment" box.  I find myself feeling this way a couple of times per year.  I don't realize it until it's too late.  Until I want to just sit down in the middle of the road and let life pass me by.  Because I haven't got the energy to keep up anymore.

I'm leaving this afternoon for a bachelorette weekend at the beach.  I know there will be dancing, and laughing and drinking and such.  But lord God, please let there be some relaxation involved as well.  I just don't know that I will make it if there isn't....

Have a wonderful weekend friends, AND....don't forget to gather your "White Party" post pictures and such.  The party takes place THIS Monday, August 23rd.  I'm so excited to see what each of you post, and to tell you what I will be giving away!

S-l-o-w-i-n-g  D-o-w-n,

T

Wow...great quote you posted as a comment.. your quote. Can I borrow it? Lol. I feel you... I get like that a lot.. and I have been feeling overwhelmed and worn out with life as well. Sometimes I'm like, "Holy crap, I'm almost in my thirties and I've done nothing." I feel like dropping everything and moving to Europe for a year (Eat Pray Love anyone?). But I'm trying not to let myself get selfish...but sometimes, being selfish is the best medicine, you know?

Pick a weekend and give yourself a staycation. Some time alone to relax and reflect will be well worth it. Now...if I could just practice what I preach. :)
