Old Navy Strikes Again!

I don't know what it is with Old Navy, but every Fall I seem to give them all of my money.  And most of the year I really am not much of an Old Navy shopper.  It's just something about Fall.

Last year I gave them all of my money for some presh little smock dresses + leggings + ballet flats.  I wore those dresses & leggings & ballet flats all Fall/Winter, adding scarves and boots as it got colder.  I do NOT regret that purchase one bit :)

This year I've just given Old Navy my money for some faux leather boots, some espadrilles & some house shoes.  I really didn't have a need for any of these shoes, but alas...they are en route.

I bought two pair of boots from Old Navy once upon a time.  I was really impressed.  Matter of fact, I still wear both pair.  They were really, really nice for faux leather boots.

I'm hoping these boots turn out to be just as nice.  I know that sometimes Old Navy can be hit or miss.  Have you ever had any unexpected good luck with a purchase from a lower budget store?

Here's to hoping the brown boots are nice enough to pull off this Fall/Winter.  Because if not...well, let's just say my credit card has gotten enough mileage here lately......

T

***UPDATE - the boots arrived and they are EL-CHEAPO!  I'm taking them right back to the Old Navy store as soon as possible.  The espadrilles and the slipper socks are just lovely.  I guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad.  And so, the search continues.  Is it possible to purchase "low budget" riding boots, and have them look "high end"?  Hmmm....  ***

I don't think it is possible to buy cheap boots! I have tried!

I agree on cheap boots. They suck. You really get what you pay for when it comes to boots. Especially if you wear the hell out of them like I do.

I would say this boot search is an impossible request (my last boot purchase was over $200 and I cried doing it), but if anyone can do this, it will be you!

Payless or Charlotte Russe

Try DSW or something like that for boots. Or just look for amazing sales! :)

What a bummer!! Before you updated, I was going to have you tell me how they are! Ha...I've been looking for a pair of Frye look-a-likes and haven't found any decent ones, yet :( Target's are cheap-o, too...hope you are doing great!!

bummer about the boots! I love a good pair of riding boots. I say just invest the money in a really good pair, and you wont be disappointed. If you take care of them, they will last forever.

Try Lands End or LL Bean. They seem pretty reasonable. DSW is also a good source.
Good Luck!

Too bad! I was afraid that the boots would be cheap.
