It's Westie Wednesday. Sure enough. Only....I haven't got a thing to tell you.
Louis was with TEN last week, and he had a swell time. Then, he was at The Klub with his pup friends for 4 days while we were at the lake. I picked him up yesterday morning, and he walked to the car and hopped into his booster seat. He settled in, and all but clipped his harness to the seat. He didn't look at me. Not once.
I coo'd and oo'd and talked really sweetly to him on the ride home. I asked for kisses when I let him into the house. He went directly to "his room", and settled himself down on his bed. And yawned. And closed his eyes.
I went to work and hoped to have some cuddle time with him yesterday evening. But then I was attacked by yellow jackets, and they surrounded the house and set up camp outside of each of the 3 doors at my home. And we were trapped. Inside.
I had a panic attack.
Louis was not impressed.
And so, last night I slept on the couch in hopes that Louis would give me a kiss. Or a snuggle. And I cried. But he stayed at the other end of the couch.
This morning I awoke to a little snore in my ear. I cracked my eyes and realized that Louis had worked his way into my arms. All four paws were straight up in the air. My arm was around his belly and he was snoring away. I giggled, which woke him. He looked directly at me, and then....he licked my cheek :)
All is well with the world again.

WOW! Scary!! Glad Louis was there to snuggle.
comforting a panic attacked mom is what Westies do best :)
This makes my heart happy. :)
Cute post! Bondi totally withholds kisses when I leave him for extended periods of time.. and he is not even coaxed by my rendition of ben harper 'steal my kisses' - he will only come around when he is good and ready... :-)
Oh - I hate the "you boarded me" cold shoulder! I used to get that.
