(Barbie was READY for the games to begin!)
(The Voice of Reason says..."game on!")
(Daisy "just can't stop winning!")
(Louis got scared....again. so, i had to snuggle him for a bit.)
(The Voice of Reason wins the prize for BIGGEST LOSER)
(Daisy wins the prize for BIGGEST WINNER!)
(those of us that didn't win decided to have a photo shoot :-o)
(me & BFF)
(Barbie & Ken)
(me, BFF, D & Daisy)
(BFF, me & the Hampden Sydney boys. clearly it was time to go home...)
Friday evening I decided that the most perfect thing in the world to do would be........to stay home! To cook cavitini. To get my Christmas tree. To decorate.
And that, my friends, is exactly what I did :) And it was marvelous. And now..it's Christmas time at T's house:
I chose gold and silver as my theme for this year. I think it looks fantastic. Much better in person, but regardless.....I'm pleased!
And then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
On Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT SNOWED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As in stuck to the ground and everything :)
I skipped around and cheered and it was lovely. I took Louis, with Barbie and Julep, to have his photo with Santa. The only problem was that I didn't realize it was FREE. Free photos with Santa = MOBS of people and low budget pictures. We had both :(
We did meet some nice people in line, and Louis tried to make potty in the line but I caught him. Thank goodness! That would have been embarrassing :-/ The picture is awful. I meant to bring it today to show you. I'll have to remember to do that tomorrow.
Word to the wise....pay for a photo at PetSmart. It's only $9, and it goes to support their rescue program :) And it's a cute picture. Really. Wait until you see this photo tomorrow. It's something. Sheesh.
So, when we got home and the accumulation had started I was really wishing I had one of these with my name on it:
I think he is telling me that it is much too cold for his little paws outside. No?
Saturday night was my wine group's Holiday Party at MK's house! She always hosts such a lovely party, and I lusted over her Christmas tree. It's absolutely fabulous.
(isn't The Voice of Reason's blouse fabulous?!?!??!?!)
(please be sure to notice my Paris Hilton peep toes :-o)
(here are my wine girls! i wish i wasn't so funny about showing faces, because these are the most beautiful girls i know :) i wish you could see all of their lovely smiles)
The cocktail party was taking place simultaneously with the:
MK left the TV on, but the volume was down. It was the perfect mix of football and champagne ;) Of course, when it was clear that:
was going to win (sorry to any FSU fans out there. believe me...i know the feeling of it NOT being your team that wins:( ), everyone watched the last few minutes. What a celebration in Smalltown, VA!
I was exhausted on Sunday, needless to say. It was a very long week, and I spent most of Sunday doing this:
AND...I think that's about it. Hahaha...I know, right? This week, however, I'm happy to report that I've taken some time for myself. I've got plans on Tuesday and Wednesday, and the rest of the week is MINE. I'm not giving it to anyone :) I'm shopping for my loved ones, and getting Christmas cards finalized and doing the things that will make me happy!
I hope you have the chance to do something that will make you happy this week too!
xoxo,
T

Piri doesnt like the cold either. She was rescued from the South and just cant get over the cold up here.
