Westie Wednesday

I was out and about last night for a few hours, and decided to let Louis have the run of the house while I was gone.  I made sure anything "attractive" to a short little pup was out of reach before I left.  I only worried a few times (okay, about every 10 minutes) about what I may find upon my return.

Imagine my delight when I came home to find his toy basket moved to the middle of the living room, and his toys spread out on the living room floor.  That's it!  Good pups :)

Deciding that Louis was definitely showing a bit of maturity yesterday I thought I would broach the subject of Beatrix with him.  Because I really do value his opinion on this subject.  I told him we had a rather serious matter to discuss.

He likes to be face to face with me when we have these types of discussions, so he promptly hopped on to the back of the couch and settled in:

I had his full attention:

I started in on my thoughts about a baby sister for him.  I showed him Beatrix's picture on my phone.  I cooed about how much fun it would be for him to have a playmate 24/7.  I smiled bunches :)  And then...

Louis promptly jumped down (signaling the end of our conversation) and looked at me.  I wasn't quite sure what to make of it?  "Louis," I said "please tell me your thoughts on Beatrix."

His eyes narrowed and he glared at me as if to say "you wouldn't dare".  And I caught it on film:

So, there you have it.  Perhaps Beatrix wouldn't be the best Birthday prezzie for Louis?  I really thought it was a good idea.  Louis spent the rest of the evening moping:

He's such an only child :(

Sigh,

T

I love your dear precious Louis. He would get along so well with my darling Daisy. She too is an only child, I am certain it is best for her. Keep us informed! Westies are the BESTIES! :)

All Westies must love the back of the sofa. It is Potter's favorite spot!

Cute! :) I can't wait to get a dog...but I'm waiting until after football season since I'll be traveling so much.

Louis and Duke are so much alike. He also perches on the back of the couch, glares at me when he doesn't like what I'm saying and I know that he would NOT be happy about a baby brother or sister.

OMG soooo cute! The puppy would be cute too though. I love Corgis!

I agree with Louis's decision. I only get along with Blizz so well because I was introduced to her when I was a puppy. Mom has tried to adopt other dogs and I just will not have it! I have to be #1 at all times and Blizz lets me.

xoxo,
Jesse
