Last night was the 3-year Anniversary of the first time our little group got together to play bunco! I can't believe it's only been 3 years. So much has changed in that time. Weddings, babies, break ups, new relationships. It seems like 10 years ago when D sent out that first evite for bunco. I didn't even know what bunco was at the time :)
Daisy was our 3-year anniversary hostess, and she suggested that we celebrate with another cocktail swap! So, it was a Bunco/Cocktail Swap Celebration. Truth be told, we did more cocktail swapping than we did bunco playing :-o
(Daisy made monogrammed martini glasses for everyone)
(she also included a lei, a pink flamingo stirrer & a copy of the cocktail recipes for everyone)

(The Voice of Reason, me & Ms. Bling)
(Louis spent the day at The Klub, so he was already exhausted. i think all of the estrogen was more than he could handle.)
(Ke$ha & Daisy)
(i <3 this picture for some reason)
(i was the biggest loser last night, and i won a fabulous prize. Ms. Bling was the biggest winner, and she also won a fabulous prize!)
(in celebration of our 3-year Anniversary)
Tonight TEN and I have been invited to a dinner party where a private chef will be cooking for us in a friend's home. I'm quite excited. I do hope he doesn't cook any fish.
I don't like fish. I like seafood, of course, but not fish. Everyone says to me "oooh...but you haven't had MY tuna (or my salmon, or my ________), after you eat that you will LOOOOOOVE fish". Only it hasn't worked. And I'm tired of trying. It tastes too......well.....fishy, actually. I do like shrimp & lobster & scallops & crab & even things like alligator. Just not fish.
Anyhoo, if the fancy pants chef cooks fish I'll just try my best to eat it and smile. Because I know that is the proper thing to do. Or perhaps I'll smuggle it into my party pocket and bring it home to Louis :-o
Tomorrow I'm off again :) And the weather for Smalltown, VA is this:
I plan to spend my day at the pool.
Have a lovely weekend friends! I'm heading out of town for a few days, but I've got a few posts scheduled to let you know what's on my mind :)

I have never played Bunco, but my cousin does (who lives in NC.) My sister went to visit, they got smashed and had to walk home. Ha.
Not a big fan of fish either.
I have never played bunco either but it's big in the neighborhoods around town. Maybe if we ever get in a real house in a real hood then I'll get some friends and play.
The dinner party sounds amazing!! I want to go!
Also, are you taking every Friday off this summer?
I've got no idea what Bunco is?! But then I am from the land of beer pong and flip cup; where games only involve drinking...(all ages, as well)!
Have a fabulous long weekend (I'm off too tomm..laying by the pool uninterrupted!) and enjoy your feast tonite :)
Yall know how to do it up right! Seriously!
I had no idea what Bunco was until I googled. How fun that you guys have been playing for 3 years. It always looks like so much fun!
Do you work on Fridays at all anymore?! :)
Looks like a fantastic time - love the goodie giveaways -AND I LOVE Louis' pic - he looks so delightfully contentedly exhausted with his little lei!

I have never played Bunco. I know some of my neighbors get together and have played once in a while, I always seemed to have some other engagement.
Have a great weekend!

This looks like such a fun event. I wish I lived near you so I could participate! I've only played bunco once. It took me a while to "get" it, but when I did, I had a lot of fun!
looks like it was some anniversary party. Enjoy that sunny weather tomorrow. I wish I had the day off
you have so much fun with the people in your town! laughing at the "ke$ha"
i hate fish too! I can eat small amounts of shrimp and crab though.
First, you look fabulous! I'm in love with the white dress, I've been on the hunt for one for a while (which I know I've bemoaned to you before). Looks so crisp and fresh with that goddess bronze you got going!
Second, I love the lei on Louis. It kind of made my morning!
Third, I agree with the fish although I eat it anyway. It's my penance for being in love with a Rhode Islander who could eat fish and seafood every night. The only thing I do like enough that I get excited about is a fresh salmon with a grilled pineapple, jalapeno, red onion salsa that I make (although in fairness the recipe was for pork chops instead of the salmon but I don't really eat pork).
Fourth, I adore you. I love you and you made this week so much better. You are some kind of angel, no doubt.
