Thursday evening I met a friend for cocktails. We were both off on Friday. Therefore, we thought it would be wise to drink a Hurricane.
Turns out that wasn't such a grand idea :( I got a text from my friend Friday morning that said "Who knew the hurricane would hurt so bad the next day! :-o" And that, my friends, is an understatement. Mind you, I had to be up early to get Louis to his hair appointment (more on that on Wednesday), and then to my Infrared Body Wrap at 10am.
I will say that the Infrared Body Wrap PLUS the Ion Foot Bath were excellent hangover cures, and I highly recommend either should you find yourself in such a predicament.
Friday evening TEN and I had "date night". Just the two of us eating tacos and enchiladas at the Mexican Restaurant on the hill. We sat outside. The weather was lovely.
I declared that I was going to get up early the next morning. I was going to work out with my exercise ball for 25 minutes, or walk with my weights. Or both.
TEN shook his head. He wasn't buying it.
Saturday morning I was up bright and early. I worked out with my exercise ball for 25 minutes, and then put Louis in the bed with TEN and took off on a walk. With my hand weights.
I become incredibly motivated when someone doubts me. I wish people doubted me more often :)
Saturday afternoon TEN and I rambled around downtown Smalltown, VA. I had my market tote, so we picked up some vegetables. Some treats for Louis too.
Then it was off to a birthday celebration! Which, unfortunately, turned into another late night. All I could say Sunday afternoon when I woke up was "who spiked my drink?" I'm still not 100% sure what happened, but I think I'm going to stick to Diet Coke and water for a while. EGADS...yesterday was rough :(
I lost my dad 3 years ago, so Father's Day isn't really a celebration of any kind for me. I want to change that though, so Louis bought TEN some grilling tools this year. And we decided that we would grill steaks and corn and such for supper. But first, we would go to the pool.
Only, I was ill. And I couldn't go to the pool. I just laid around and moaned all day. And TEN watched golf. And we took turns cuddling with the puppy. I did finally make it off of the couch and into the shower at 6:30 in the evening. We decided on pizza, at a favorite little pizzeria in the village.
I was hoping this year Father's Day would be a great success. Oh well. There's always next year....

I was miserable yesterday as well. I don't know why I continue to do that to myself.
Hurricanes will kick your butt!
Everyone always says the best nights are the ones you can barely remember, so just take comfort in the fact that you must have had one heck of a night!!!
My favorite line when I'm severly hungover - "I got overserved."
I bet the workout and pizza helped you feel better though!
You are good! I always say I am going to workout after a fun weekend, never works out!
someone doubting me always works as a great motivator. I love to prove them wrong :)
thats the worst when your drink just "sneaks" up on you the next morning! haha. I always resorted to spinning as a cure.
Yes, plan on a great day next year. I am sorry to hear about your dad. I am so very sure he was still with you on that Fathers Day, as he is on every day. He is in your heart.
Nice weekend before Sunday came around though.

Ugh, I can relate! I don't drink as much as I used to so when I do go out for a night on the town I always am SOOO HUNGOVER the next day! At least you got in a good workout though!
one hurricane gave you a hangover??? I NEED To try one! Well, I dont want a hangover, but I want a stiff drink. AND, i am almost envious of you and Molly having hangovers! haha. A hangover is a sign of a great night :)
And, sorry about your dad :(
I also become motivated when people doubt me- It may even play a role in me going through with a natural labor-I said, It MIGHT- :))
