When I Say FILET, You Say OSKAR!

Last night my girlfriend Babbo Natale and I had our annual Christmas dinner at a fabulous steak house in Smalltown, VA.  Each time we go we both order the filet oskar.  It's delish!  I mean it is seriously delish!  I order the small size (10 oz), but somehow with the 1/2 baked potato and seared mushrooms and a slice of cheesecake for dessert I'm still ill when we leave.  I just can't imagine why?!?!?  hahaha....

Anyway, dinner was again lovely, and Babbo Natale gave me the most wonderful prizes for Jesus' Birthday!  She gave me some precious napkin rings:

some TO DIE FOR seersucker napkins:

I cannot find anything like them online, but will take a picture to share later.  They are red/white seersucker with big blue anchors on them.  ME LOVES!!!!!

and a book that I cannot wait to read:

                                 (you can find it HERE)

Babbo Natale and I are both from THE SOUTH and have a love of all things southern.  This, of course, includes fabric napkins and fancy napkin rings....and....books about THE SOUTH.

AND...we began talking about an Italy adventure PART TWO!  She was one of the three girls that went in November 2007.  So excited!!!!!!!!

Tonight I am going to pick up my ball gown for the Black & White Bals Masques.  Tomorrow night mrs.mfc, WIMP and I are getting together for cocktails.  Friday BFF from high school is coming in for the weekend.  Sunday is PJ Brunch Club.  So much friend time in my life makes me a very, very happy girl :)

The Help is a phenomenal book. Also being from the south it hit so close to home. It is amazing to realize just how recently in our country's history the battle between races really raged.

I'm interested to hear what you think about it.
