Seersucker Suit Movie Review - Shutter Island

Someone told me this movie had a twist.  I thought I had it figured out.  I was pretty sure I wasn't even going to like the movie all that much because of this fact.

I was kindove right.  And then again I wasn't.

Shutter Island is one of those movies that leaves you sitting in your seat, credits rolling, trying to wrap your head around what just happened.  Not because so much happens right at the very end, but more because you are thinking back through the whole movie trying to put all of the little pieces together to arrive at the ending.  You are trying to figure out how you missed it.  You are trying to prove that "no!  how could that be?  i mean i get the main twist, but the smaller twists.....OH.  MY.  GOSH....i get it now.  i think?"

You know the type of movie I'm talking about.  You kindove have to talk yourself through it.  That's the  kind of movie Shutter Island was.  And even after TEN and I got up from our seats and walked to the car, I still didn't completely have it.

T:  It's kindove sad that it didn't stick.
TEN:  But it did T.
T:  Nope.  Because he said "such and such".
TEN:  Yes T.  What he meant was that was his choice versus the alternative.
T:  Oh shit!  You're right!  Oh gosh!  How did I miss that?  Oh my!  Hmmmm....I need to think about this some more.  Wow.....

There are a couple of times where things "jump out at you" and caused me to grab TEN's arm, but for the most part it isn't that kind of movie.  It's much more of a psychological thriller.  I completely recommend Shutter Island, and I dare say it's the best movie I've seen in a very long time :)  For this reason, I award Shutter Island:

THREE SEERSUCKER SUITS!!  DON'T MISS IT!!!

Glad Trish found you!
And I would piss my pants watching that movie. I know it. Or my eyes would be closed the whole time and I would have no idea what happened.

I knew the twist BEFORE I saw it and honestly I was glad I did. I think I spotted some clues that other people missed (because they didn't know to look for them). I thought it was pretty clever
